We played our first headline show! And it was fun! “What a great evening” “Couldn’t have been any better” “Really enjoyed it” were some sentences used to describe the evening! With support acts; Jim Cozens and Laura Colegate the evening was a “perfect” evening.
Jim Cozens gave a Stellar performance, playing three original songs, all of which went down very well.
Laura Colgate performed her first song solo with a piano, then was joined by Jaana performing as a duo a mixture of originals and covers. The crowd certainly loved Laura’s performance.
BR James took the stage after a fifteen minutes break, playing his first three songs solo, an intentional performance to set the scene for what was to be a “magical” set.
Afterwards, Johnny (drummer), Rob (bass player) and Zena (backing vocalist) joined BR on stage performing their first cover on the evening which was “Hit the Road Jack” by Ray Charles. You could see the excitement in the audience, maybe because we haven’t had much live music in the last two years.
The gig was at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell, the venue was packed out.
BR said about the evening “These kinds of evenings make all the hard work worth it”.
